There are plenty, and they’re less alike than they look. Some add the offer to the WooCommerce checkout, others replace it with their own, and a few don’t work with the block checkout, which is the default in new stores.

We compared six options for a WooCommerce order bump plugin using public data we checked on September 26, 2026, on each vendor’s website, on WordPress.org and on WooCommerce.com. One of the six is ours, EHERO Woo Checkout Offers, and we’re saying so upfront so you can keep it in mind as you read.

On this page

What a good order bump plugin needs

Why WooCommerce alone isn’t enough

Order bump plugins compared

The plugins, one by one

Which one to choose

FAQ

What a good order bump plugin needs

Before you look at prices, it helps to know what separates an order bump that earns its place from one that causes trouble:

Block and classic checkout. Since WooCommerce 8.3, new stores use the block checkout. Check whether the plugin puts the offer in that checkout or replaces it with its own.

No page reload. Accepting the offer should update the total without wiping the address, the order notes or the payment method.

Cart-based rules. Show each offer based on what’s in the cart (products, categories, amount), and never offer something the customer already has.

A price you can trust. The special price should be calculated on the server, so it can’t be tampered with in the browser or stacked on top of a coupon unless you decide it can. And the offer should be a normal order line item, so taxes, invoices and your accounting software treat it like any other product.

HPOS. High-Performance Order Storage is the default in new stores. A plugin that doesn’t declare compatibility forces you to stay on the legacy system.

Stats. How many people saw the offer, how many accepted it and how much extra revenue it brought in. Without that, you can’t tell whether it works.

If you’d like a refresher on what an order bump is and how to design one that doesn’t scare buyers off, see what an order bump is and how to use one in WooCommerce.

Why WooCommerce alone isn’t enough

WooCommerce has two built-in tools for selling more to the same customer: “Upsells”, shown on the product page, and “Cross-sells”, shown only on the cart page. Neither appears at checkout, and there’s no way to add a product with a checkbox or give it a price that only exists at that moment.

If your customers go straight to checkout from the mini-cart, they never even see the cross-sells. We cover that in detail in WooCommerce cross-sells not showing, and the difference between the three techniques in order bump vs upsell vs cross-sell.

Order bump plugins compared

Prices are for the cheapest plan that includes an order bump, checked on September 26, 2026. Its free plugin has more than 30,000 active installs on WordPress.org, but the order bump is Pro only.

Where the offer appears: in the FunnelKit checkout, which replaces WooCommerce’s. FunnelKit says it works in both classic and block-based stores.

Rules: very thorough: cart products, total, category, coupons, location, past purchases, date and time, user role and stock.

Price: the Basic plan ($99.50, 1 site) doesn’t include order bumps. The cheapest plan that does is Plus, at $149.50 a year for 2 sites, a promotional price that renews at $299.

CartFlows

Another funnel builder, from Brainstorm Force, with more than 200,000 installs of its free version. As with FunnelKit, the order bump is Pro only.

Where the offer appears: in the CartFlows checkout step, which replaces WooCommerce’s. Its documentation doesn’t mention the WooCommerce Checkout block.

Rules: cart products and categories, total, location, user role and purchase history, which can be grouped.

Price: the Starter plan ($99, 1 site) doesn’t include order bumps. Pro costs $199 a year for 3 sites, on promotion, and renews at $299.

UpsellWP

From Flycart, with more than 5,000 installs. The order bump is included in the free version, where it’s called “Checkout Upsells”.

Where the offer appears: in the WooCommerce checkout, classic or block. It added placements in the Checkout block in August 2024.

Rules: cart products, categories, tags and SKUs, quantities, coupons, subtotal, customer history, user role, day, time and language with WPML. Some are Pro only.

Price: free, with Pro from $60 a year for one site (sale price; the regular price is $75).

Upsell Funnel Builder for WooCommerce (WP Swings)

Formerly “Upsell Order Bump Offer for WooCommerce”. It has more than 2,000 installs, and the order bump is in the free version too.

Where the offer appears: in the WooCommerce checkout. It has supported the block checkout since December 2023.

Rules: products and categories that trigger the offer, excluded roles, days of the week, total, applied coupon and customer type. Minimum cart value and limits are Pro only.

Price: free, with Pro at $89 a year for one site.

Order Bump for WooCommerce (Flintop)

Sold only on the official WooCommerce.com Marketplace, where it has more than 400 active installs. It focuses on the order bump alone, with no funnels.

Where the offer appears: in both the classic and the block checkout, with its own “Order Bump” block.

Rules: cart products, categories, tags and product types, subtotal, quantity, history, user role, guest or registered, dates and days, with AND/OR logic and an acceptance limit. It can stop coupons from applying to the offered product.

Price: €69 a year on WooCommerce.com.

EHERO Woo Checkout Offers (ours)

We build it. It’s a hands-on order bump: you pick real products from your catalog, put them in order, and give them a special price and a unit cap.

Where the offer appears: in both the classic and the block checkout, without reloading the page, and also in the cart, the mini-cart and a popup if you turn it on.

Rules: minimum and maximum subtotal, products or categories in the cart, new or returning customer, user role, country, shipping method, scheduling and a per-customer limit.

What sets it apart: a unit cap that holds even when two orders come in at the same moment, and tracking of real stock. The offer is also a normal order line item, not a negative fee. Its texts can be translated with EHERO Woo Multilang, WPML or Polylang.

Price: €79.99 a year per domain. There’s no free version.

What about Checkout Add-Ons? Checkout Add-Ons for WooCommerce, by SkyVerge, often turns up in these searches, but it isn’t an order bump: it adds fees to the order (gift wrap, installation, rush handling), not products from your catalog with their own stock. And its documentation says it isn’t compatible with the block cart and checkout.

Which one to choose

You want a full funnel (sales page, custom checkout and post-purchase offers): FunnelKit or CartFlows. Keep in mind that they replace your checkout and that the order bump comes in their 2-site and 3-site plans.

You want to try one for free: UpsellWP or the WP Swings plugin, which include an order bump in their free versions and work with the block checkout.

You’d rather buy and renew on WooCommerce.com: Order Bump for WooCommerce, by Flintop.

You sell limited stock, invoice through accounting software or run a multilingual store: EHERO Woo Checkout Offers. The unit cap, the normal line item and the translatable texts were built for exactly that.

Whichever you pick, test three things on a staging copy of your store before you buy: that the offer shows up in the checkout you actually use, that accepting it doesn’t wipe anything the customer has typed, and that a coupon doesn’t stack on the special price unless you want it to.

An order bump in the checkout you already have

EHERO Woo Checkout Offers (it’s ours) adds offers to the WooCommerce checkout, classic or block, without replacing or reloading it. For an order bump you need a plugin.

Is there a free order bump plugin for WooCommerce?

Yes. Of the ones we compared, UpsellWP and Upsell Funnel Builder for WooCommerce, by WP Swings, include the order bump in their free versions on WordPress.org. FunnelKit and CartFlows have free plugins too, but the order bump is paid.

Is an order bump the same as a checkout upsell?

The terms are used almost interchangeably. Many plugins call what we call an order bump a “checkout upsell”: a complementary offer added with a checkbox before paying. Strictly speaking, an upsell suggests a better version of the product, while an order bump suggests an add-on.

Does an order bump work with the block checkout?

It depends on the plugin. UpsellWP, WP Swings, Flintop and Checkout Offers place the offer in the WooCommerce block checkout. FunnelKit and CartFlows use their own checkout, which replaces WooCommerce’s.

Do I need a funnel builder to get an order bump?

No. If all you want is an offer at checkout, an order bump plugin is simpler and leaves your checkout as it is. A funnel builder makes sense if you also want sales pages and post-purchase offers.

Does an order bump affect VAT or invoices?

Not if the plugin adds the offer as a normal order line item: it carries its own tax like any product and appears on the invoice at its price. If it’s added as a separate fee or discount, check how your invoicing software and your accountant handle it.

Conclusion

To choose a WooCommerce order bump plugin, start with the checkout you use. If it’s the block checkout, rule out anything that doesn’t support it. Then decide whether you want a full funnel or just an offer at checkout, and compare the price of the plan that actually includes the order bump. And try it on a staging copy of your store first: what matters is that the offer adds revenue without breaking the checkout.

Related guides

What is an order bump and how to use one in WooCommerce: examples, rules and what to measure.

Order bump vs upsell vs cross-sell: what each technique is and when to use it.

WooCommerce cross-sells not showing: causes and fixes.

EHERO Woo Checkout Offers: the WooCommerce order bump with special prices, unit caps and stats.

Looking for a WooCommerce order bump plugin?
