Every lane counts
Pawnlings is a turn-based card game in which each hero is a card. You play them onto a four-lane board, they fight lane by lane, and whoever brings down the enemy warlord first wins.
Each hero does one clear thing, so every match comes down to who you play and where. Battles take a few minutes and are played in landscape. Your warlord fights too, with abilities that can turn a battle around.
Four elements in a wheel
Each hero is Water, Fire, Earth, or Wind. Water beats Fire, Fire beats Earth, Earth beats Wind, and Wind beats Water, and the one with the advantage deals 20 % more damage to the other.
Water beats FireFreezes, blocks, and holds the line.
Fire beats EarthBurns, strikes, and finishes the job.
Earth beats WindGrows, heals, and strikes back.
Wind beats WaterFlies over and lands where it hurts.

Heroes come in families of three with the same origin: one rare, one epic, and one legendary. The Ice Hunters, for example, hit harder against frozen enemies, and Orcabrava strikes twice.
