How Much Does a Website Cost in Spain in 2026

Consultoria EHERO

7 minutos de lectura

A website in Spain costs between €400 and more than €10,000. The range is so wide because “a website” can be a template with three pages or a project with a custom design, several languages, and bookings. What drives the price is who builds it and what the site has to do.

In this guide we give prices by type of website, what you pay once and what you pay every year, and how to read a quote so you can truly compare. These are the ranges we see in quotes in Spain in 2026, VAT not included.

The short answer

  • Simple template-based website (3 to 5 pages): from €400 to €1,200.
  • Corporate website with a polished design (5 to 10 pages): from €900 to €3,000.
  • Custom website (custom design, special features, several languages): from €3,000 to €10,000 or more.
  • Online store: that’s a different league. We cover it in how much an online store costs.

On top of that, add between €100 and €400 per year for domain, hosting, and licenses, plus maintenance if you don’t do it yourself.

Price by type of website

Type of website What it usually includes Typical price
DIY with a site builder Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress.com template; you add the text and photos €0 setup + the monthly plan
Template set up by a professional 3 to 5 pages, contact form, basic legal texts €400 – €1,200
Corporate website 5 to 10 pages, design tailored to the brand, initial SEO, blog €900 – €3,000
Custom website Original design, bookings, customer area, multiple languages, integrations €3,000 – €10,000+
Landing page for a campaign A single page with a form, designed for ads €300 – €1,000

Prices do not include VAT. These are market ranges: a specific quote may fall outside them if the project has something unusual.

What you pay every year

The price of the website is one payment. Keeping it up and running is another, and it is forgotten in many quotes:

Item Typical cost
Domain (.es or .com) €10 – €20 per year
Hosting €60 – €300 per year
Email with your domain Included in many hosting plans, or €2 – €6 per mailbox per month
Paid theme and plugins €0 – €300 per year
Maintenance €30 – €300 per month, depending on what it includes

Maintenance is the item that varies the most. We explain it in detail in how much website maintenance costs.

What drives the price up

  • The number of distinct pages. Ten identical pages are not the same as ten with their own custom design.
  • The copy and the photos. If you provide them yourself, the price goes down. If they have to be written or you need a photo shoot, it goes up.
  • Languages. Each language adds translation, review, and its own SEO.
  • Features. Bookings, payments, a private area, or a configurator are development, not design.
  • Connections with other software. CRM, invoicing software, calendar, or newsletters.
  • SEO. A website that is well structured for Google takes work before it is published, not after.
  • Rush jobs. A normal corporate website takes 4 to 12 weeks. Compressing the timeline costs extra.

If you also sell online, accessibility matters too: since June 28, 2025, Law 11/2023 requires e-commerce to meet accessibility requirements. Microenterprises that provide services are exempt.

Build it yourself, hire a freelancer, or use an agency

Option Advantage What to watch out for
Build it yourself Cheapest at the start Your time, and the site being tied to the builder if you ever want to switch
Freelancer Direct contact and a good price What happens if they get sick or leave the trade, and who holds the access credentials
Agency A team, deadlines, and continuity Make sure they don’t bill for meeting hours and don’t lock you in with long-term commitments

The useful question is not who is cheapest, but who will maintain it for you two years from now.

How to read a quote

Two quotes of €1,500 can have nothing in common. Before comparing, check that both answer the following:

  • How many pages does it include, and how many rounds of changes?
  • Who provides the copy and the photos?
  • Are the domain and hosting in your name?
  • Will you have administrator access from day one?
  • Does it include legal texts, a cookie notice, and a form with consent?
  • Does it include the initial SEO: titles, descriptions, speed, sitemap?
  • What happens when it’s finished: is there training, is there support, how much does maintenance cost?
  • Is there a delivery date in writing?

Five Warning Signs

  1. The domain is registered in the provider’s name. If you leave one day, your website address isn’t yours.
  2. They don’t give you administrator access. Any small change has to go through them, along with their invoice.
  3. A “free” website with a monthly fee and a lock-in contract. Over three years, it usually ends up costing more than paying for it outright.
  4. A fixed price without asking what you need. Either the project is template-based, or the surprise comes later.
  5. Nothing about maintenance. A website that isn’t updated is a website that someone will eventually break into.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a basic website cost?

Built by a professional using a template, between €400 and €1,200, plus the domain and hosting each year.

How much does a business website cost?

A corporate website of 5 to 10 pages usually costs between €900 and €3,000. If it includes custom design, multiple languages, or special features, it goes above €3,000.

How much does it cost to maintain a website per year?

Domain and hosting alone, €70 to €320 per year. With professional maintenance, €30 to €300 per month depending on what it includes.

Is it better to pay for the website all at once or with a monthly fee?

Paying all at once usually works out cheaper over three years, and the website is yours. A monthly fee makes sense if it includes real maintenance and doesn’t tie you down with a lock-in contract.

Is WordPress free?

The software is. You pay for the domain, the hosting, any paid licenses you use, and the work of building the site.

How long does it take to build a website?

A simple website takes 2 to 4 weeks. A corporate one takes 4 to 12. What most often extends the timeline is getting the copy and photos ready.
