WooCommerce order bump: checkout offers that increase the order value without risking the sale

The WooCommerce order bump from EHERO Woo Checkout Offers puts a selection of products from your catalog in front of the customer, right before payment, at a special price. You decide which ones, in what order, at what price, and how many units can be sold at that price. The customer checks a box and the order total updates instantly.

Almost every checkout offer carries the same fear: that a refresh will erase the address, that the discount will stack with a coupon, or that units will be promised when there are none left. This WooCommerce order bump is built the other way around: nothing the customer has typed is lost, the server always calculates the price, and the unit cap is never exceeded, even with two purchases at once.

It is not a system that decides for you. It is a hand-curated showcase, with rules, scheduling, and statistics that tell you how much extra money each offer has brought in. It works in the classic checkout and in Blocks, in the cart and in the mini-cart.

A WooCommerce order bump that does not erase the form

This is the hard part of any checkout offer. If accepting an add-on reloads the page and wipes out the address, the customer thinks twice before paying.

  • In the classic checkout, the showcase sits inside the fragment that WooCommerce already repaints on its own: accepting an offer travels in that same update, with a single request and no reload.
  • Billing and shipping addresses, order notes, the coupon, and the payment method stay outside what gets repainted, so they are not touched.
  • In the Blocks checkout, the cart updates through the official WooCommerce Store API and the form is not torn down.

Real products and real order lines

An accepted offer is a normal order line that points to a product already in your catalog, with its stock, tax class, shipping class, and SKU.

  • It is not a negative fee: accounting, invoicing, and ERPs that read your orders see exactly what they expect.
  • You can offer products from your catalog or a specific variation of a variable product.
  • If the customer empties the rest of the cart, the offer goes with it: it never travels alone.

Offer price decided by the server

The price is never read from the browser. It is recalculated from the saved offer on every totals calculation, so nobody can manipulate it from the page.

  • Three pricing modes: fixed amount, percentage discount, or discount amount.
  • Percentage coupons and product coupons do not stack on top of the offer price.
  • The price is entered in the same tax base as the product price, with or without VAT depending on how your store is configured.

A unit cap that is never exceeded

Each offer can have a maximum number of units at that price. When two customers compete for the last one, only one gets it, and the other is clearly notified at checkout.

  • Units are reserved when the checkout is validated, confirmed when payment is taken, and released automatically if the order is canceled, fails, or is refunded.
  • A daily sweep releases reservations that got stuck.
  • When the quota runs out, the offer disappears from the showcase and the next one takes its place.

It follows real stock, including stock sold outside the website

If the product sells out through a POS sale, on a marketplace, or through synchronization with your supplier or ERP, the offer immediately stops being purchasable and comes back automatically when stock is available again.

  • Option to show sold-out offers as “Sold out”, in gray and unselectable, or to hide them entirely.
  • If an already accepted offer sells out while the customer is paying, it is removed from the cart with a clear notice instead of the generic WooCommerce stock error.
  • The offers screen shows store stock, the units left at the offer price, and why each one is sold out.

Rules to show each offer to the right customer

Each offer decides who sees it. That way your WooCommerce order bump does not offer the same thing to a €20 cart and a €300 cart.

  • Minimum and maximum cart subtotal, and products or categories in the cart.
  • New or returning customer, user role, country, and shipping method.
  • Start and end dates for seasonal campaigns, with a visible countdown.
  • Limit per customer, per account, or per billing email if they check out as a guest.

Four layouts and real urgency

You choose how your WooCommerce order bump is presented and how many offers it shows at once (four by default). If one is unavailable, the next one moves up.

  • Cards, compact list, carousel, or a single featured offer.
  • Savings badge, “N left” notice with the real units, and countdown only on offers that truly expire.
  • The showcase sits in its own panel, with background, border, and margins, so it does not clash with your theme design.

Popup mode for offers that deserve the spotlight

In addition to the integrated showcase, offers can open in a window over the checkout or cart, in a bold style or a clean one.

  • Three triggers: a few seconds after load, on exit intent, or on the first click to pay, which fires only once and never blocks a second purchase attempt.
  • Four desktop sizes, bottom sheet on mobile, and five entrance animations that are disabled for users who prefer reduced motion.
  • Header, badge, button, and body colors, with live preview in the settings.
  • You choose where it opens: checkout, cart, product pages, shop and categories, homepage, or specific pages.

Where it appears: checkout, cart, and mini-cart

This WooCommerce order bump works with the classic checkout and with the WooCommerce Blocks checkout and cart, both at the same level.

  • Classic checkout with shortcode and Checkout block.
  • Cart page and mini-cart, including the side drawer in the Blocks mini-cart.
  • An “EHERO Checkout Offers” block that you place wherever you want inside Checkout or Cart. When you place it, the automatic positions turn off by themselves so the showcase never appears twice.

Statistics and A/B testing for your WooCommerce order bump

The statistics page shows who saw each offer, who added it, who paid for it, and how much extra revenue it brought in. That is the data you use to decide which offer stays and which one you change.

  • A/B testing between two showcases, with configurable split, measured in revenue per thousand impressions.
  • Daily summary by offer and by test group.
  • Sold-out offers that only fill a gap do not count as impressions, so the data is not distorted.

Multilingual and custom text

If your store is in several languages, each visitor sees the showcase in their own language.

  • The default texts appear in each visitor’s language.
  • The texts you write yourself (showcase and popup headline and subheadline, and each offer headline) are sent to your multilingual plugin for translation: EHERO Woo Multilang, WPML, or Polylang.

Import and export your offers by SKU

A CSV with offers identified by SKU lets you move a showcase from one store to another without rebuilding it, or prepare a campaign in a spreadsheet.

  • Compatible with HPOS, WooCommerce’s high-performance order storage.
  • If you delete the plugin, your offers are kept unless you enable the option to delete everything. Orders already placed are never touched.

Works especially well with…

An offer showcase performs better when your store’s stock, billing and languages are properly connected.

  • EHERO Woo POS — what you sell in the physical store deducts from the same stock, and the offers respect it instantly.
  • EHERO Woo Holded — the offer is a normal order line, so it reaches your invoices with its price and tax, with no manual adjustments.
  • EHERO Woo Multilang — you translate from Cadenas the texts you write for the showcase and the popup.

Practical example: an electronics store offers at checkout a charger and a case at a special price, with a 50-unit quota for the sale. When the charger runs out in the physical store POS, it disappears from the showcase and the case moves up into its spot, without any customer paying for something that is no longer available.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer lose what they had typed when accepting an offer?

No. This WooCommerce order bump only repaints the totals and the showcase itself: the address, notes, coupon and payment method are untouched, both in the classic checkout and in Blocks checkout.

Do I choose the offers or are they automatic?

You choose them: which products, in what order, at what price and how many units. EHERO Woo Checkout Offers is a manual-control WooCommerce order bump, with no automatic recommendations.

Can I offer a variable product?

Yes, by choosing the specific variation. A variable product does not have a single price to apply the offer to, so the plugin asks you for the exact variation.

What happens if the quota runs out while someone is paying?

The offer leaves the showcase and the next one comes in. If two customers compete for the last unit, the one who loses is notified at checkout and the line is removed: the cap is never exceeded.

Do coupons add on top of the offer price?

Percentage and product coupons do not. Fixed cart amount coupons are deducted from the total and WooCommerce does not allow excluding them line by line: this is a WooCommerce limitation, not a plugin setting.

What happens to my offers if I uninstall the plugin?

They are kept, unless you enable the option in Settings to delete everything on uninstall. Orders already placed are never affected.

We review submissions before publishing only to filter out spam, offensive language, personal data, or content unrelated to the product. We do not delete or hide reviews for being negative.
